‘A captivating destination resort that blends smoothly with its natural surroundings. Situated on the mystical Ayung River, each villa enjoys the embrace of the lush rainforest and offers stunning views from private balcony of the breathtaking Ayung gorge. Reconnect with nature, rekindle your spirit and reignite your soul in this serene natural haven.’
Passport Heavy got an opportunity (of course), to experience Nandini Bali Jungle Resort & Spa in the slopes of the Ayung River Valley hidden within Ubud, the destination spot famous for its meditative spaces. With palm trees creating a horizon for the infinity pool, relaxation is pretty much your goal here the second you step foot inside. Their outdoor jacuzzi and untouched (well, almost) path to the river among the scent of frangipani flowers sets the mood for anyone looking to escape any other world they come from! There is a free shuttle service from Ubud’s town centre and upon arrival and you will be welcomed with fresh fruit and a 15-minute massage!
Their rooms feature traditional Balinese chalets with private balconies, complimented with stunning jungle views. The high bamboo ceiling creates a cool atmosphere so you won’t be disturbed by the sounds of any electronics, let nature be your music! The perfect spot to relax has to be their spa, where you will receive full on, hands on attention!
The outdoor jacuzzi creates the perfect hang out spot to be with friends and loved ones, or alone if that’s your vibe. We came during off-season which was actually perfect as it left the space empty for uninterrupted shooting.
Our filmmakers JP and Ant setting up the gear.
And what’s any Balinese resort without it’s pool? Spacious and overlooking the jungle, there’s a mini-bar and an attentive bartender always nearby to pour you a drink.
Their restaurant ‘The Station’ blends both colonial and traditional Balinese culture with dishes prepared with fresh ingredients grown in the resort. Located at the far end is a traditional Balinese kitchen where you can keep a keen eye on all the ingredients going into your meal. You can even try chopping a bit of veggies yourself! The walls are beautifully decorated with images from the old days that speak of another time.
There is so much that Nandini offers that we had to make a video to capture the details! Keep an eye out for our Bali Part 2 video where we will be giving you proper insight into this beautiful space.
